Push Notification to mobile

Hi Administrator,

 

For past months, my family were able to receive notification on our mobile phones for scenes I created like door breached, fan power off, heater off & etc. Nothing was performed or changed but all of a sudden these notifications are not working anymore.

 

I had tried delete & recreate the scenes, had tried uninstall & reinstall the app on all mobiles but none works . It only works if I manually click on Run button to test.

 

Please kindly advise.

Emails and push notifications are only received randomly or delayed, if at all. However, if the scene is started manually, all works well. This pattern continues with newly created scenes as well.

I use notifications for Alarm breaches and email notifications work fine but push still doesn't work

Lately, I started to receive massive notifications on my heater turned on because I was detected near my house (scene I created) but I'm miles away working in office. No choice but to turn it off even after deleting, restarting & recreating it. Wasting electricity.

 

Like a backlog notification push now. Complained no or intermittent right? Now we give you all... LOL

FYI I got my issue solved. Problem was that i forgot to check "do not stop the scene in case of alert" option under scene general settings.

Since this summer, perhaps as early as in May. All my push notifications are (often) more or less delayed.

 

I have a push notification when my main door opens. A year ago I would receive the push notification pretty much the same second the door was opened. Today it varies from seconds (rarely though) to minutes. 

 

Is this due to:

-My hardware (HC2)?

-Software (always the latest non-beta version)?

-Internet connection (haven´t changed)?

-CPU usage(I have more scenes than before)?

-Number of devices(a few more than before)?

-I have a new phone, does that matter?

 

Can I check something?

 

Or is it server related?

push messages still not working!!! my wife does get the messages, im not. tryed reboot, tryed recovery, deleted phone and added again, nothing works.......

Hi TSN,

I use an app called pushover for my push messaging works seamlessly,  I use it for notifications from scenes and system messages . i fill a global variable called message with my text then pushover delivers it to the users phone. If you wish i can publish the code i use, The code itself was taken from the forum but adapted slightly by me. Pushover is not free but is a very small charge.
