Question

Hi all,

I have installed Samsung TV plugin in HC2 (4.160) but when I click the Search button my HC2 is not able to find the TV (which is turned on) and if I try to enter its IP address commands do not work (I also tried entering IP:52235 and still nothing.

Am I missing something here?

Thanks!
Riccardo

Please post your TV model. As @Igy said, newer models are not supported but most older models are not supported either.

I have the same problem! The Samsung TV Plugin does not work with my Samsung Series 6 65KU6400 TV. Would Fibaro please look into this. I also have a HC2. I am happy to work with them to get this working.

    hi guys,

I doubt that the plugin will get any updates.

The effort to make it work is simply not worth it with the TV vendors changing their protocols and limiting the APIs.

The best bet is to go and use an IR extender to control your TV and integrate that into your HC2.

Or ... if You have little bit more "animals" in Your entertainment zoo, then kick Harmony plugin authors ;)

PS. It's quite easy to use other specific IR extenders to, or build Your own, based on something like Pi and IR diode, but i personally just like "Harmony like" activities approach (there may be other activity based systems on market, i do not know, so when searching Your own, be creative) and possibility to ask system status also.

Open the source code, so the community can fix it.! I thought fibaro was about to open up the plugin code, but nooo... Almost every plugin they have is "out of date"...
