Keypad with the Home Center Lite

I'm currently trying to find a system that can function as a simple security and monitoring system. The Home Center Lite looks like a good candidate but I find it very strange that there is no easy solution when wanting to add a keypad to the system. People seem to have had mixed results with some z-wave keypads. Am I missing something?

Currently it seems it is not working. I still have mine as a piece of electronic waste on my desk as I did the mistake to soft reconfigure it with one of the last FW upgrades. since then I am unable to have it included again.

I have one still working, which was included long time ago and I am definitely NOT to soft reconfigure that one before I can include the one on my desk again.

The very same (devolo/Popp/zwave.me) scene controller is included without any issues in openHAB, Domoticz, zwave.me, VeraPlus.

I can (still) not understand why something is working in one version and then destroyed without warning in the next version.
