Hi Fibaro,

 

It would be good to know some points about the TRV regulator :

 

- Does the regulator need time to learn and work better ?

- How the regulator handle the water température variation of a modern boiler with climate regulation ?

- Does the regulator work with some type of PID or PD or only P or fuzzy logic or empiric regulation with some hysteresis, or ... ?

- Why the TRV don't close completely the valve when the température is 1° over the setpoint since more than 1 hour for exemple ?

-  ...

 

At this time the result after updating the firmware to 4.3 not look very promising, we wait about 2.5 months to get something who seems to not yet working perfectly, temperature overshoot still exist, less than before but valve stay often opened too much when setpoint is passed by more than 2° for exemple.

The under temperature behavior is corrected I think, but now it seems that the valve is always opened too much.

 

Can we expect to get informations and detail to know if we need to wait again some days to let the TRV learn how to work or if we can conclude right now that you are not able to make a working TRV ?

Yes, but we are still perfecting algorithm in this matter.

Water temperature in the heating system is a really complex subject, we are still working on improving algorithm in this matter to assure that it will work in any conditions.
