Question
BitBucket 13
Hello community,
While coding Scenes and Virtual Devices I noticed syntax, scope and functional differences for the same code.
This is a huge source of confusion, frustation and bugs.
The cause is different LUA versions for Scenes and Virtual Devices in the very same HC2 FW.
Staggering! Check for your self with this line of code: fibaro:debug( _VERSION )
In HC2 FW 4.160:
Scenes use LUA 5.2
VD's use LUA 5.1
Update 4.170 has not been installed yet but there is no mention of LUA version updates.
Maybe someone is willing to report back here.
Fibaro should at least update VD LUA to version 5.2 to equal Scenes LUA.
Best would be to update VD LUA and Scenes LUA to always the same version, best 5.3.(4)
That saves a lot of frustration!!! and frees a ton of space in the FW image for new features.
Do you also want to get this fixed then report this to [email protected] .
