[Solved] Possible to change name on devices in lua

Teza

Question

Have just started to look at lua programming.

Is it possible to declare a name to a device instead of using it's number?

Instead of using :

fibaro:call(75, 'turnOn')

you can use:

fibaro:call(bedside-lamp, 'turnOn')

Would make the code a lot more readable and less need for comments in the code.

Well... standard programming good practice:

Please login or register to see this code.

That's the way I'm writing my code in lua and any other language.

You can also keep the number in global variable, but the good way to do this is just another question...
