Trigger a scene manually, but not bybass the IF part (garagedoor)

Question

Posted (edited)

Hi,

The problem is to open a garagedoor, unless it is already open, using the Iphone "widget".

Hardware used: Fibaro HCL, a switch connected to the garagedoor pushbutton (momentary switch) and garagedoor sensor.

Iphone does not support anything but Scenes as widgets, so I cannot just add the garagedoor sensor as widget to see if it is open or not.

The only option I see, is to add a scene which "pushes" the garagedoor button, unless the sensor shows that it is already open.

When manually triggering a scene, the dependencies/triggers/IF part seems to be ignored.

Does anyone know to get this working?

Hi
Maybe I can help you a little bit.

When you drive a scene manually, the conditions are ignored, as you have also seen.

You must create a manual scene and one or more automatic scenes.
The manual scene changes a variable, which then triggers the automatic scene.

Hope it can help you further.

    Hi there,

That is exactly what I ended up doing.

Feels ineffective to use a variable and two extra scenes, but it works.

    Thanks
