Fibaro compatible Motorised Blinds, Curtains and Roller Shutter

Tabbrez

Question

Hi,

I am looking for the compatible products to support my motorised blinds, curtains and roller shutter for my villa, which should be able to work with FIBARO.

Also a compatible product for the irrigation system would be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Tabbrez

I have several motorized curtains from Forest (see

). I use the ones with integrated z-wave module. Works well with Fibaro HC2, although there is no template available (which is no issue for me). Good quality, low noise, but fairly expensive (around 500 euro for a rail of about 4 meters).

Best, Rene.

HI  @Tabbrez,

 You could always add

to an AC motorised shutter ? Will also work with curtains and blinds if they are AC motor powered.

Cheers,

al.

In the curtains/blinds industry, some of the makers are now shifting towards DC Motors. Even the ceiling fans are moving towards DC Motors too.

Pity there is no Fibaro module to support DC motors. Perhaps the dimmer module can be use as workaround.

Agreed, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find affordable solutions in AC, Somfy do them, but the price is inflated in my opinion on the name, a lot of the more affordable options are DC.

Dunno if you might be able to AC/DC relay the drive, I don't know and I'm not in a position to test that idea.

Vision Curtain Relay Module (ZW4101US) works with HC2 and DC Roller blind motors. Monoprice in US sell them cheap.

    Hey tabbrez

i initially set out looking for blinds which would fully integrate and I never got to the bottom of how it all works.

i later came across MySmartBlinds, they are really easy to fit, I know they do a bridge which may be able to work with a VD. But I have found that I don’t mind switching between the app and fibaro if I want to manually control. All the schedules are set within the app so generally unless I’m watching a movie during the day the lack of integration does not bother me.

let me know what you end up settling on though!

    Hi Roxy,

Did you buy from this provider in Australia? Did they provide the motor too? What was the setup to connect to Fibaro?
