Aeotec Gen 5 Siren suddenly switches on

Question

Posted

Hi all!

Is there a way for me to see why my indoor siren just switched on by itself the other day? Non of the smoke sensors that are supposed to trigger it were triggered themselves. I have had this problem before and we are getting really tired of it, and I just want to throw them out of the window. Now I just automatically think that it is a bogus alarm whenever the siren starts which just makes them useless. Any help with this issue is greatly appreciated.

Hi @Ole

How is it used in your network? Have you changed any parameters? Is it included in any scene? Does it have any associations?

My Fibaro smoke sensors have this siren in their association group so that if any of my smoke sensors are triggered then this siren will switch on in my bedroom.

Which association group are you using?

I have a few version 2.1 smoke sensors and for these the siren is added to group 1 and the Home Center to group 3. I have one version 3.1 smoke sensor and the siren is added to group 2 and the Home Center to group 1

Ok, that's it for these sirens, they are now unplugged. One switched ON in the basement shortly after a backup of the HC2 two days ago and last night in the middle of the night, the one in our bedroom swtiched ON for no reason. They have both switched ON for no reason other times too, especially the two newer ones. Is there a way I can find out why they switched ON? Somehow the HC2 must be telling them to switch ON. @T.Konopka
