Conexis L1 Smart Lock + Z-Wave Module 2 on v4.170

Question

Hi Guys

I have the Yale Conexis L1 Smart Lock installed with the Z-Wave Module 2 and I've added it to my HC2 running v4.170 but despite it being added it doesnt do anything! I've removed and re-added a few times but to no avail.

Any suggestions? Even the basic lock/unlock buttons dont do anything and if I lock / unlock the door it doesnt report any status change back to the HC2.

Even though its apparently not officially supported I've ordered the older Z-Wave Yale Module (the green see-through looking one) and will try that when it arrives. I'm wondering whether the newer Yale Z-Wave Module 2 isnt compatible with HC2 (yet).

Cheers

Andy

    Update

I can confirm that on Fibaro 4.170 the older Z-Wave Module from Yale does include into the Z-Wave network but does not work either.

Guess will have to sit tight to wait.

Thanks for the update! It would be great to have that one work.

I have the same problem. It finds device and adds to HC2. But does not do anything. I have older ZWave module. Found Yale support quite good so will give them a try first and report back

So the situ is I spoke to Yale and they ended up posting me a firmware update module for my conexis L1 locks. It looks like the Z-wave module but has a USB port on it where they must upload the firmware into it from a computer

You stick it in the lock and put the batteries in and the light flashes away and it reboots which "supposedly" updates the firmware (to I believe version 1.1.0 - you can check in the app) and I've done this , but it doesn't seem to have made any difference to the Z-Wave 2 Module working against the Fibaro HC2.

I've asked them to confirm what firmware version was on this update module they posted me and I've told them things still arent working.

I know that a lock running firmware version 1.1.0 does appear to work with the Fibaro HC2 v4.180 and the Z-Wave 2 module, but my lock was on firmware version 1.0.0. However the Yale app is so rubbish it hasnt/doesnt update to reflect the fact the firmware on my locks may have been updated, so I dont actually know if the firmware update worked or not as my app still says firmware 1.0.0!

I've got a call with Yale tomorrow (Friday) to troubleshoot further.

    Andy

p.s. I should add I have not updated my HC2 to Beta 4.503 yet.. I'm still on 4.180

Spoke to Yale who told me I have to have Module 2. Clearly didn't know what they were on about as device was connected to HC2.  Emailed Vesternet support and they were far more helpful.  Told me when adding the device you must "include with security".  There is a tick box that is unticked by default. Removed the device then re added and now works fine.  Not sure I have configured it correctly with Master and Slave settings but it does lock and unlock via HC2 and gives status.  Just need to work out a scene to unlock the door as I approach the house

Interesting, thanks for sharing the info

I did try it with the "Include with Security" ticked but for me it made no difference. I'll try again though

Do you have the Yale App on your phone that is linked to your lock? Could I kindly ask you verify what firmware version its reporting your Conexis L1 lock is running on?

    Thanks!

p.s. What Firmware is your HC2 on?

    Hi Andy

    Yale App says Firmware 0.f.0

    HC2 on 4.180

    Thanks Simon

Yes, so 0.f.0 seems to be working ok as well as firmware 1.1.0 but NOT 1.0.0

Spoke to Yale again yesterday and hopefully I'm going to be put in touch with actual developers of the code for the Conexis L1 to find out what is going on, firmware versions, etc etc.

You had any more joy with this Andy. Can't find anyone else who had this lock paired with HC2.

Fibaro said lock not fully supported. It works as far as telling you if lock is locked or unlocked. I can unlock remotely. But does not show up in scenes so unable to build any scenes where it can be used.

Wondering whether the Z Wave Module 2 would make any difference. Loathe to spend 50 quid to find out it's exactly the same.

Hoping that Fibaro look into making it fully compatible with HC2. As it is very frustrating
