Aeotec Smart Switch adding as RGB device

Question

Hi All,

Has anyone else had an issue with adding an Aeotec Smart Switch 6 into Fibaro, I have 3 devices now that when added, it actually adds 3 devices, 1 being the master device (with the brown box icon) and then 2 more, one being the switch itself and then an extra RGBW device, all three of which just keep saying 'Not Configured'.

I've tried resetting the switches multiple times, and re-adding to Fibaro, but nothing works.

Strangely,  after they have been added the Fibaro seems to be stuck in the learning mode (ie the light on the front keep flashing) and I have to reboot to get it back to normal.

Hey Skaro..

Yeah, I had the same problem.  It was driving me absolutely bonkers.

I found the only way to avoid the problem was to do the following:

* Via add / remove devices, remove the device and make sure it was gone.

* Follow the Button hold time sequence on the AeotecSmart Switch 6 device to default it completely.

* Ensure the Aeotec Smart Switch 6  light ring was giving the color sequence indicating it was off and ready to be connected to a controller (HC2 in this case)

* Put the HC2 in learning / add new devices mode with security tick box selected

* Double or triple click the button on the Aeotec Smart Switch 6 device

* WAIT for HC2 to finalize and close the add device window

* Select devices and it appears as it should versus the other rubbish that was turning up as you have noted
