What Z-Wave water valve to use?

Sjekke

Recommended Posts

I am planning to install a Z-Wave water valve.

Who has experience with this? I see brands like Popp Flow Stop, ECOnet, Zipato, Xenon, ... but they all look alike? Are those the same?

Tips and trick?

  • Hi @Bodyart, thx for the info.

This is of course not want I want, it should work 100% else I need to buy an extra Fibaro water sensor :) I want a solution for my sprinklers, maybe there exist another solution. The search continues ...

What I use is a simple, standard electrical valve (e.g like this one)

The one I have is normally closed, 24V to open it. I use a fibaro wall plug with a 24v adapter plugged in to switch the sprinkler on/off. Works perfect for some year already.

I would also like to have a robust 1/2" mains water stopper.

The only ones I find is US spec .

Hi @Sjekke, I use it with a garden drip irrigation system (i.e. hose with small holes). I measure the soil humidity and switch on the irrigation for a few hours if soil is too dry. Works like a charm.

    Best, Rene.
