Put lights in previous state

Question

Posted

Hello,

does anyone know if it is possible to set ligths back in their previous state instead of turning them off.

The case:

if my alarm is activated, i start a scene where all the lights will turn on

after 5 minutes, or after deacivating the alarm, I will switch them off, but only if they where already off before the alarm. If they where already on i want to leave them on.

I save the values to a global variable. Since I am a beginner with LUA it was the most easy solution for me.

I use it in a home cinema scene to dim the light.

First I save the current value to a variable and dim the light.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

local a

a = fibaro:getValue(12, "value") -- dining table light
fibaro:setGlobal("dining_table_light", a);

if tonumber(a) > 13 then

-- repeat loop execution
repeat
 fibaro:call(12, "setValue", a);
   a = a - 1
 fibaro:sleep(150);
until( a == 13 );
end

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When I want to stop the cinema scene I get the value of the global variable and brighten the light to that value.

local b
local c
b = fibaro:getValue(12, "value") -- dining table light
c = fibaro:getGlobal("dining_table_light", "Value")

if tonumber(c) > tonumber(b) then

-- repeat loop execution
repeat
 fibaro:call(12, "setValue", b);
   b = b + 1
 fibaro:sleep(150);
until ( b == tonumber(c) );

@Stegenga I assume your light and alarm use "value" to determine on/off, you can try this.

Please login or register to see this code.

Hope this will work lol. careful string and number comparison i'm pretty weak on that.
