Do not allow alarm to stop scene while alarm is running - what is the use? and how to use it?

Question

Posted

Hello,

I am curious on the tick box when making a new scene;

Do not allow alarm to stop scene while alarm is running

If you tick that it becomes red and you need to be sure! But why? Is it bad to have a scene running if there is an alarm? Like if you use scenes to turn light on and the fire alarm goes off, it would be great to be able to turn on light? Same is with my doorlock that is controlled by a scene, it the alarm goes off I am not able to unlock the door via Fibaro if I dont tick that box..

Am I misunderstanding or is there a good reason on why you should not tick that box, since there is this "scary" warning if you do :p

Because some of the scenes may be in conflict with the alarm and ticking that box would hinder the alarm procedure.

I have also relative questions about alarm and scene. I run an auto arming/disarm mode using scenes. The tricky part is that if I did not enable the checkbox on disarming scene, this scene will not run. The problem is that if it enabled, someone can run this scene manual and disarm the alarm system (may burglar know how to do it :)).

I feel there is a gap on implementation or my point how I treat scenes is faulty.
