Flood sensor being detected as door and window sensor in smart things

This one is really frustrating smarthings only seems to detect the fibaro flood sensor as door/window sensor. I thought it may have been faulty but a replacement sensor does exactly the same thing even when you try and manually add it. I've tried removing it and resting to factory setting with the same results. Anyone know how this can be fixed.?
