Vera3 as secondary controller for HC2 without deleting all my z-wave network

Question

Posted

Hello everyone. I am trying to add Vera3 as a secondary controller to Fibaro Home Center 2 using the Vera Shift option from "Z-wave settings" menu  and Fibaro's  "Add secondary controller" feature from the same menu. Unfortunately this resulted in the deletion of all the devices in Fibaro. Practically Fibaro copied the network from Vera which was ... blank. Is there a way to add a secondary controller to HC2 WITHOUT deleting all of my network?

To be honest I got to using this old vera3 because I wanted good google home intergration. I've managed to do this by making vera3 the primary controller and copying fibaro's devices plus using vera coincierge... but I don't want to stick to this. I'd like Fibaro to be my primary controller.

Is there a way to add secondary controllers without adding/pairing all those devices again?

Thank you very much for the time invested in reading/answering my question.

Have a great day,

Marius.

Hi Marius, I added my Samsung Smartthings as a secondary controller via add-device (as you would add a dimmer for example).

When the HC2 was in learning mode, I added in Smarttings the hub to an existing Z-wave network. Maybe you can do the same with you Vera.

Regards,

Stefan.
