Poolpump on for 2 hours

Question

Posted

Hi,

I am looking for a button which I can press and that starts my poolpump for 2 hours and then stops.

I know how to start a scene from a trigger (a real switch) but cannot find out how to automatically stop it after 2 hours.

Also is it possible to make a "Fake button" Like a VD in stead of an actual switch?

I made a VD "button" but I cannot find it as a trigger while creating a block scene.

thanks

Eric

Hi @Wiers,

With what device you control your poolpump?

If you control it with FGS-2x3, check parameter 10 and 12 (you can set auto off there and time) in case of Output 1 (Q1) and for Output 2 (Q2) check parameters 15 and 17 (for FGS-223 only).

Regards,

Jakub

    Hi Jakub,

    I have the FGWPF-102.

I have one scene to have it running from 01:00hr lt to 05:00hr lt.

Now I am looking at using a VD with a status change, and a scene which looks at that status.

So if the status is 1 then turn on pump and turn it of after 7200 seconds.

It seems to work but I think there must be an easy way which I am overlookingRegards

    one question.

at "local timer" you have 7200000 seconds?

Should that not be 7200 seconds for 2 hours?

Lua uses miliseconds. So 2 hours = 7200*1000.

    Alright, that makes sense.

The reason I asked is that the timer in the display keeps hanging on 119 mins.

I guess I will find out after 2 hours if the pump stops running.

@spazpeker you substract 1 ms instead of 1 second. That is why it shows 119 always.

And if read your code correct it should be something like:

    The VD is working,

However.... when I connect it to my PoolPump it switches  on and direct to off.

When I  connect it to a light or other switch it works great.

I think the problem is that most of the time I have a communication problem with the FGWP102 switch.

And after some searching on the forum I am not the only one.

Also it is the switch furthest away from the HC2 and connected via repeater.

So it is moving the pool or buying a second controller .

    Thanks for the help gentleman.

You could try a second repeater so that its has a dual signal path.

The loads a pump, you haven't said what device you are using to switch it ?

Are you sure its not turning off thru over current.

    I have the FGWPF-102.

Running it manually is no problem.

And it is not actually switching on and off, it is only the signal.

Almost sure it is out of range and since moving the pool is out of the question, I have to find another solution :-)

If its done its max jumps try the second repeater. This has worked for me.
