Are nightly reboots a good idea ?

Question

Posted

HI All,

I have a stable HC2 running now, no problems at all but, there were problems in the past and for that I uses a reboot scene which fired every night.

Question is, Are nightly reboots a good idea even if the system is stable ? (for clearing cache/buffers maybe ?)

Well, no in my opinion. I like to be in charge of any reboots as automatic ones tend to interfere with how we use the house in general. For instance when we have a party or if we decide to stay up late ine evening.

And why reboot a fully functioning system?
