Dimmer for lamps managed by 3 switches

Question

Posted

Hi Folks,

I would like to use Fibaro dimmer in my apartment but I am a bit confused.

I have 3 groups of LED and I would like to dimmer separately but the problem is that I use 3 points to switch on/off the each group (not toggle switch).

It will work?

My idea was to buy 3 dimmers and one CU light (I already left N wire in the box)

Tks

If you want to be able to control those lights separately you need to buy 3 Dimmers.

Here's a manual, in case you want to look into it before buying.

    @DanFont

    You need to give us some more clues to what your actually asking?

    What  your existing wiring switching set up is? You say exsisting not toggles switches ? Are you sure?

     Are there 3 circuits now and each are switched again remotley twice?

    May be some photos of what you have with the plates off.

    You really need the live feed and the load for each switched circuit to end up back in the same wall box.

    Often with multible switched circuits the load wire continues on from the last wall switch and doest return to the first box.

    You may or may not have the seprate wire  cores to achieve a result  Things  may get a little confusing and might require help from a electrician.

    I just finished the electrical project of mine apartment 80m2 in Brasil. Actually i am in USA so i have no possibility to send pictures.

    Apartament is divided for areas/circuits:

    - Entrance with 4 leds spots (N.2 -> 3-way switches)

    - kitchen with 6 leds spots (N.2-> 3-way switches and N.1-> 4-way switches)

    - lounge with 6 leds spots (N.2-> 3-way switches and N.1-> 4-way switches)

    Alle the leds are dimmable.

    When i use command from 2 points, one is using the PHASE and the other the RETURN

    When i use command from 3 points, one is using the PHASE, one the RETURN, and the middle switch is using 2 wires from one switch and 2 wires from the other one.

    Hope is clear.

    The idea is to use FIBARO to dimmer the 3 circuits without changing 3-4 way switches. Is it possible? Can you help guys to understand how to connect according to my needs?

    Regards!

    Daniel

    Ok you have to remember the dimmer 2 switches from its sx terminal back to its s1 terminal so the switching feed needs to originate from that sx terminal

    not  a different L feed out at your remote switch boxes.

    In all honesty I’m not a fan of toggle switches with Fibaro, they are too confusing with momentary push buttons giving a better result.

    However this  drawing from the manual sounds as though its similar to your switching set up obviously less your feed and load wires.
