TUTORIAL - Siri - Homebridge on Doker Synology

Hello,

Here is a small tutorial that allow you to use SIRI/ Apple homekit on your iPhone/iPad whit your FIBARO HC2 unit.

In order to access from external network you will need an Apple TV or an iPad set as a Homekit

 

Until now i was running Homebridge on Raspberry PI, but i hate to have so many devices connected, so running on Docker is great.

Also you can download config.json and package.json for FIBARO HC2.

 

For edit config.json and package.json i use Dreamweaver on mac.

From my experience: not all synology systems are equally easy / broadly supported. In my case I turn out to have some obscure chipset that forces me to do manual compiling in many cases :s @SmartHomeEddy, maybe this is also your issue?

Thanks. That might be the case. I have a DS1010+. I have Docker and de container up and running, but I have no clue what to do with this error.

Seems a node.js issue. Do you have the latest version / the version recommended for homebridge?

    @SmartHomeEddy, I am afraid that I cannot help you. But maybe other people can share their versions to check whether that could be the issue.

    Has anyone tried to install the "homebridge-config-ui-x" in the docker?

    After running the npm command I get the picture below, but when I add the "config" platform in config.json and restart the container I get " 'config' plugin not installed".

    It seems like every time I restart the container, the plugin is gone. Another thing I noticed is I can't find this plugin in any folder in node_modules, maybe it's installing at the wrong location? @10der

    Any help is appreciated.
