DIrect Association always works, via controller does not

Vinisz

Question

Hi All,

Hope someone can  explain this.

I have a fibaro switch outside which has a direct association (for doubleclick) whith a switch inside.

Now, when I "doubleclick" the switch inside there always is response from the associated module and the light outside goes on, no exceptions, thsi always works...

However, when I want to contol that same outside module via a scene or from the mobile app, then most of the times it doesn't respond.

Now I know that the outside module is on the edge of network range but how can it be possible that direct association does work and via the controller doesn't (always) work ?

Does the controller not route through the same module which is associated ?

Edge of network with  too many jumps.

Association just module to module

Try arranging a booster module so most distanced module gets dual pathway.

  • Thats strange... the antenna is arranged only 5 meters away from the "indoor" module so i might expect routing goes through the same module as the associated one...

It's a pitty we cannot see the mesh, then I would have better information.

  • I know, I thought it was 4 but I count only one........ (but maybe it is taking another non-logical route)

  • Last time I tried that 20% of my battery powered modules died...... so, I'm being carefull.

On the other hand, doesn't the HC2 automaticly reconfigure the mesh from time to time ?

    You can choose advanced  setting

just does selected modules and do the Problem modules neighbors

I herd that mesh healing  doesnt work propely since zwave + devices arrived but I could be wrong

If you have version 4.503, you can try what @tinman found and check of those devices are neighbors.
