Switch off

Dear staff,

 

  I connect many dimmer 2 switch but have same problem.

 

  1 switch on that switch on the light

   But I need 3x switch off the button to switch off the light !

 

I just want push on button and switch on the light and only push again 1x the button to switch off the light.

 

Which prameters I have to setup on the Switch Dimmer 2 to have this option please ?

First of all which dimmer you're using? fibaro, aeon etc....

Second question: What kind of switching action you need? Momentary or Toggle?

Also after answering the questions of @cag014 are you able to answer what settings you have for parameter 20 and 26 if you are using a Fibaro dimmer and also if you are using any 3 way switching on this circuit

Dear All,

 

  I have Fibaro Dimmer 2 FGD 2-212 and effectively my parameters 20 was mon-stable versus bi-stable. Changing that, it's look to do what I wanted... nice.
  But just for my general culture why in the manual for parameter 20 it's mentionned 
Available settings:
0 – momentary switch
1 – toggle switch
2 – roller blind switch – two switches operate the Dimmer 2 (S1 to brighten, S2 to dim)
Default setting: 0
Parameter size: 1 [byte]

 

but on my Fibaro paramter 20 it's mentionned

0 - Mono-stable input

1-Bi-stable input

2-Roll blind switch (Up/down)

Sounds like you have other system and not Fibaro's HC2, is it correct?

If so, it depends on device template that your system uses.

In general it is the same

Mono-stable input == Momentary

Bi-stable == Toggle

Roll blind switch (Up/down)  == roller blind switch – two switches operate the Dimmer 2 (S1 to brighten, S2 to dim)
