LUA scene help

Hi,

 

I need help with a Differential temperature scene, where I will be able to set the delta temperature setpoint.

 

Got a swimming pool with solar panels, and what I want to do, is when solar panel gets, let's say 5 degree warmer than the pool water, i want to activate a Fibaro relay to turn on a pump/valve.

 

And when the solar panel reaches same temperature as the pool water or maybe 2 degrees above i want to turn it off. 

 

T1 is connected to a UBS (solar panel)
T2 is connected to a UBS (water temp.)

V1 (Valve) connected to a FGS-223

I need more information to help you. Is het solar panel and pool temperature available in HC2?

If that is correct you have to program a LUA scene that checks both temperatures and makes the decision to activate/deactivate the relay.

This is a really simple example, with this code the system keeps flipping the switch every time the scene runs, so you have to make a variable to check if it already ran.

Yes, both temperatures are available in my HC2

When this scene runs, everytime the temp is stil 5 degrees more the device is switched on. Also when it is already on. The scene sees 5 degr more, so turn on.

I don't like that, it only has to switch when needed. So I create a global variable and set its value to 1 (for example) when the switch is on. When the scene runs and its 5 degr more it first checks if the pump is already on before it flips again. 

I don't know if this is best practice. Maybe you can also check the actor itself if its on allready before flipping with fibaro:getvalue
