RainMachine sprinkler control system

Question

Posted

Hi guys,

i'd just like to spend a few words about this great product, RainMachine.

As far as my old irrigation system went down due to a lighting...i went looking for a new and smart solution, with possibilities to integrate with fibaro and more.

I didn't like to use the sprinkler panel made by fibaro because of my philosofy: i think every single device should be either independent and possible to integrate with the principal gateway.

So now on, i'm using this since 3 months and have to say it is really good, allowing to save al lot of water thanks to the forecast functions, and is compatible with alexa, google assistant, ifttt and have open http apis wich i hope i will be able to integrate in a virtual device in the hc2... take a look if you are looking for a new smart solution for your sprinklers!

ps i'm not related to this producer, just want to share my good solution after months of research..

I did not like the Fibaro Sprinkler Panel either. Coding any decent irrigation algorythm  into the panel was just too much of a hustle. I have looked at the Rain Machine and others as well, but ended up buying Gardena, since it is the only system that also manages the robotic lawn mower next to the sprinklers.
