Fibaro ID vs local ID vs remote access

Question

Posted (edited)

I'm not sure I understand the differences.

I have a superuser account ([email protected]) locally and also as Fibaro ID.

I am not sure how it actually works - is the Fibaro ID automatically linked to the local id? Does it synchronize password?

Then if I create another local id - I can't login with a fibaro ID (no sync?) is it only the superuser which can login with the email address?

Another question - is it only the superuser who can access remotely? When I tried to add a HC to the new (not superuser) Fibaro ID  - it says; "HC already added by other user. Please

".

Maybe I have misunderstand how to use Fibaro ID. I also thought it was possible to use another accounts for remote access (not only as superuser)

fibaro ID is the cloud credential, you can remote your gateway over cloud

local ID stored inside your gateway, so when you login your gateway within LAN, you can use local ID.  Both ID are not in sync.  You get confused because your local and cloud ID are same, in fact they are different ID.

same for your mobile app, you are asked to login cloud ID, then local ID in order to trigger anything in your gateway anywhere.
