Auto reboot

Question

Posted

Hi,

can you please consider adding a reboot function in the setting menu?

A simple tick, and timing would be sufficient.

This would help to re-connect to a remote system, and fix the missing NTP time sync, and should not be to hard to add.

Other option would be to add a reboot "device" of some sort, that could be scripted, important that this works on HCL as well, many remote systems are HCL.
And yes, I know there are scripts and such out there, but a genuine Fibaro trigger would be preferable.

Have you seen the reset button in the configuration menu? Or is it some kind of automated reset you are looking for?

Sorry bad formulation of the subject.

It is a automated/controlled/managed reboot function I'm after.

I do experience from tome to time that my remote system is un-responsive, and that time is drifting on all of them.

IF I could easily add a reboot every other day, or every night, I would not have the travle 230 km one way to do the power cycling to get things back on-line.

    hi @Soft,

ever thougt about a backup for the reset?

I'd go for a Wifi Powerplug that can be controlled over an app.

Plug the homecenter in it and you have a backup solution if it get's stuck.

Kill it via the plug, power the plug back on and the HC2 is rebooting.

Not the nice way, but in the end the same as if you would drive there and power it off manually.

Yes I could, and I have a sms plug that takes the power of the wifi and HLC!.

But, sometimes the wifi, or HCL starts to fast, and the HLC does not get a IP address, and yes I know I could use a static, but that does not work with everything else...

So, simple restart would help with this, and the timing on all of them (drifting issue).

    So to not have:

    HCL (home automation:-)

    WiFi plug

    SMS plug,

I want one sw switch :-)
