Dimmer 2 Problem

Question

Posted

I have around x30 Dimmer 2s with/without bypasses throughout my house.

I have a problem with x3 of these devices not being detected as a  dimmable load. One of them detected as dimmable once but since power off/on has returned back to believing it is non-dimmable.

When I force calibration the light will dim from nothing up to full brightness as expected. But once it completes this the load is not dimmable and shows it has been detected as a non dimmable load.

What are my options with these? As luck would have it these 3 I require to dim the most. Am I able to change parameters to over ride and force dimmable?

Try playing around with parameter 33. Also make sure parameter 20 and 22 are configured correctly for toggle or momentary switch. Make sure that all your bulbs are from same manufacturer and the same specs ofcourse. Remove 1 or 2 bulbs and test if it makes a difference. I had the same problem and bought a bypass which I didnt really need. I changed the bulbs to Osram 7w that I had lying around and it did the trick so didnt connect the bypass.
