Hello.

My first post - please bear with me!

I have a fireplace, which can be switch on and off with a couple of dry contacts. It's powered independently of the contacts.

See the image supplied.

I bought a Fibaro Single Switch - but I think that is going to supply power rather than just bridge the contacts. Have I bought the wrong thing? Or how should I connect this up?

I'd really appreciate any advice!

Thanks,

Antony

Please use any of this Philio PAN06, TKB TZ74 or Fibaro Double Switch (ver.1) with separate circuit from z-wave module.

Thanks for the responses, but I'm still confused.

    1) I intend to use HomeKit, so no need for "Ok, Google".

    2) The fireplace I have already supports automation. All I need is the ability to bridge two contacts for "on" and unbridge them for off. The diagram I've provided shows what I need to do.

    My questions are:

    1) Can I do this with the Fibaro Single Switch? If so, how do I wire it?

    2) If I can't, what do I need instead, and how would I wire it?

    I hope this is clearer.

    The fireplace manufacturer said:

Yes, all devices are endowed with a "dry contact plug  and connector" (potential-free contact). So you are able to connect with 2 wires any home automation system, remote button, Wifi or Bluetooth emitter, etc.
