dimming LED without a Bypass

Question

Posted

Hi,

I understand that the bypass is a resistant with x KiloOhm?

So how much Watt a dimmable LED needs to work without a bypass (Tested with 4 W dimmable LED Bulb doesn't even calibrate). So it is dimmable  i would just run it with 50% or so?

The min without a bypass is 50W i believe documented somewhere. The bypass thing is real strange for me, i have over 14 of the dimmer 2 modules some use bypass and others do not, most of them are 3 wire configuration apart from the odd one however i have noticed that there is no common ground to what the minimum is. I have had it working on 5W without a dimmer on some bulbs and others i need a fair few before the bypass is needed.

If you are running a single bulb at 4W at 50% i do not even think this would register right and would need a bypass. Are you 3 or 2 wire config?
