new Fibaro products on IFA 2018

not sure if someone from the forum users saw the latest press release on Fibaro site:

but there are new products / announcements. My favorite is Smart Implant (but let's call it by the old name - Universal "Binar" Sensor 2, but it's not only binary, so Fibaro renamed it), which is finally (in my opinion) really working solution for 0-10V sensors (as the pullup can be configured as well). Yes! one can control outputs via z-wave, and even better, one can combine (e.g. analog 0-10V input to measure and outputs controller via z-wave command). One can as well connect DHT sensor  

 

I like the Fibaro Siren as well, there are (except the information on news site, or things you will get said on IFA) no specs available to download, but from what it will be / i know, it will be great product (security systems certified, lot of theft protections things implemented, sound procesor, visual effects - for those of you who know Battlestar Galactica, cylons like effects hehe … there must be someone at Fibaro who likes BG, i found on HC2 with 4.510 as well hidden command to let the LEDs to make cylons effects )

I would say, 20-25cm in diameter, but the best is to come to IFA (Building 6.2 booth 108) and watch it in the live action.

Being a more modern device than the UBS this should fix erratic temperature reporting for those with DS18B20. You know those were prone to cause: "potential fire alert"...

Probably no Bosch sensors because they use a different protocol, require some math processing and they only run on a I2C bus. The DHT and Dallas do 1-wire. So the BME sensor has to be "close" to the module (some say 30 cm, some say 1 m), while the other two support several meters (up to 10s of meters actually) because of the different bus. But if you file a request for the BME280, I support you

does this mean they have a led strip .. aka tapes ?

Gosh, that siren looks great. But is it outdoor siren? Meaning does it have IP55+?

Pity, they did not make it as Cylon head. It looks like open mouth with something poping out.

Well, it is not me in the video. I found that in Fibaro official youtube channel (i subscribed to it).

 

As a guy from CZ, i can only slightly understand it.

I agree, the gui is extremaly old looking, especially on an Ipad. So much unused space ...

I do know you can change the icons and so on, but  this days, half of them are gone on half of the devices, just using the names, lost interest..
