I tried that, and it was working pretty good during day light. But at night when it was dark it didnt work well.

For my light scene in de livingroom i have a motion sensor hanging already focused at the door area.

The screen is hanging next to the door.

So I use a Smart wall plug to switch the power supply of the tablet.

I have set the tablet to go to sleep after 30min.

Power is always on and if there is movement it disconnect the power of the tablet for 5 seconds and then turn it on again.

The tablet has a setting to turn on the screen if it sense power is added or removed.

So when the screen is at sleep and there is movement the screen turns on, and when there is no movement for 30min the tablet goes to sleep again.

In addition to the simple scene I made to switch the wall plug when there is movement I set a wait timer in the scene of 66% of the 30min to prevent the wall plug turned on and off every time there is movement.
