fibaro app does not display videocameras

Question

Posted

Hello everyone!
We have installed
Fibaro Home Center 2 version 4.510.
We have configured Hikvision cameras that are correctly displayed by the fibar browser (see attached image).
When accessing the application (configured with external public IP), these cameras are not displayed (see the attached image).
Has anyone already faced and managed to solve the problem?

Hi eulogic, hi community

I'm facing the exact same issue!

Camera Stream Main MJPEG, 720p, 20 FPS, 6144Kb/s
Camera Stream Sub MJPEG, VGA, 10 FPS, 1280Kb/s

  • Both streams (main and sub) accessible via browser-to-cam & via HC2 in the GUI
  • All ports are open and forwarded on the router
  • Cams can be accessed from outside the network via browser directly to the cams (without HC2)
  • UPnP enabled on cams and router, working fine

So I've investigated:

iPhone APP           via Fibaro cloud   in network    --> No Pic
iPhone APP           via Fibaro cloud   via internet   -->No Pic

iPhone CHROME   directly to HC2    in network    -->No Pic
iPhone CHROME   directly to HC2    via internet   -->No Pic

iPhone CHROME   via Fibaro cloud   in network   -->No Pic
iPhone CHROME   via Fibaro cloud   via internet  -->No Pic

PC CHROME          directly to HC2    in network     -->Both Camera Streams
PC CHROME          directly to HC2    via internet    -->Both Camera Streams

PC CHROME          via Fibaro cloud   in network    -->No Pic
PC CHROME          via Fibaro cloud   via internet   -->No Pic

Is someone able to assist?

This is driving me crazy!

Any idea is highly appreciated.

All the best,

TheGyth

Hi @eulogic,

after spending a crappy weekend half crazy with this, I seem to have found the solution!

  1. Assign a static IP to your cam
  2. Activate UPnP in your cam and on your router
  3. Make sure ports are available in UPnP
  4. Use the Authentication in HC2 GUI instead within the stream URL
  5. Remove (if existing) the "/" at the beginning of the stream URL in HC2 GUI (both for JPG and MJPG)

If you do this it works fine in the app and remotely!

TheGyth
