Hc2 not reachable after update.

Question

Posted

Hi all, I update the HC2 yesterday and now I can’t connect to it through the web browser or app. The HC2 is showing it is connect to the home network but not the internet. If I use Fing I can see all my devices on the home network but the FIbaro HC2 Isn’t on the list.

Any advise would be grateful.

Thanks

After rebooting (using the power button) it seems back to normal. For how long - I don't know....

It’s still the same if you reboot the HC 2.

it looks like the IP address has changed. My home network is on 192.168.1.1 and the HC 2 is now on 192.168.81.1.

Spoke to Fibaro support and it looks like this can happen after an update sometimes. So if you hold down the + button on the back of the HC2 for 10 seconds or until the world light is lit, this has set the HC2 back to DHCP. Then run the discovery tool or similar (Fing) and you should get the new ip adress. How you can connect to the HC2 and set your static IP adress again.

hope this helps some one else.
