Door sensor to turn on light

Question

Posted

Hi there,

I am not being able to set an association where the light of a room tuns on whenever the door is open. My aim was to set a door sensor to turn it on when beached but no association group seems to do the job.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I am trying to set up a simple scene using graphic blocks whereby when the door sensor opens the lights come on and when the door is shut again, the lights go off.

I can get the door sensor to show me in the App when the door is opened and then closed but I cant get the lights to come on?

Update: I have managed to get the lights to turn on by the sensor but I still cannot get them to turn off when I reconnect both parts of the sensor?

Any ideas on how to do this using graphic blocks?

I have managed to solve my simple problem! o.O

I just had to add a value in the time block (Red coloured) after  the "safe" block (green coloured) (triggering variable) . 8-)
