Simple motion scene issues

Question

Posted

Hi all.

I have just installed a motion sensor in each room of my house and a Fibaro Dimmer 2 on each light switch. A few rooms have RGBW modules as well. HC2 is on latest firmware version as of 3/12/18

My question is this: - I have setup a scene to turn on the Kitchen LED's if motion is detected and another scene to turn off the lights if motion is not detected within 600 seconds.

My issue is if there is a lot of movement in the kitchen, the light will go off and stay off. If you leave the room for a while and come back in, it is almost like the scene has reset and will work for a while but them back to fighting the motion sensor to keeping the lights on if you are in the room for a long period. I have the same issues in any room I setup like this  even if I sent the max running scenes to 10.

I will attach my scenes below and any input would be welcome. I have never used LUA before but willing to learn. If anyone has a scene like this working ok and could share, that would be a great starting point.

A simple way to come around this problem is to use the timer in the motion sensor. Set Parameter 6 to 600 seconds in you motion detector and remove the 600s timer in you scene.

Hi, there is no use with motion sensor using block scenes.

You have to move LUA anyway.

Read the explaination here (if you like):

There is a simple scene (for ON and OFF) in LUA:
