Double switch used in association - O1 and O2 cannot be separated. Why?

Mosskit

Question

Hello

I wanted to use in association feature my relay switch 2 (double output: O1 and O2 ver 3.3). Unfortunatelly I am not able to split O1 and O2. Both of them and even scene module gets automatically selected. Is this some kind of misconfiguration of my modules or next great inconsistency in logic of Fibaro developers?

Hi @mosskit,

Old Z-Wave 300 series devices has Lifeline in last group. So do not touch Group 3, There must be set controller only (if you want status in controller). You probably used manual to FGWPE-102-ZW5 instead of ZW3. Please, check this manual

So that meas On/Off button is in group 1 and Power is in group 2.

Z-Wave 500 series devices has Lifeline as 1st group and then goes other functions.

It is not issue, that should be reported to Fibaro. It is feature.

Hi @mosskit,

Use M column for multichannel control if you do not want to control whole device. Column description is below.

Columns:

  • Single Channel (S) = Control device as whole
  • Multi channel (M) - Control part of device

In this one it is missunderstanding. It is basic Z-Wave thing. See

  • Hi

    Thanks for quick response.

I tried that one already and it works but not in all scenarios. Let me give you an example. I tried to build simple association between Fibaro Wall plug and Double Switch 2 so that when power goes below preconfigured value (Parameter 50 and 51 of Wall plug) it switches off one circuit on my Double Switch 2. Sounds simple, huh? Now, according to Fibaro Manual I have to use association group no 3 (for power dependent association).

but on that group I am not able to select the "multi-level" column at all. Indeed, I was able to select it on group no 2, but this is not how I want device to be used, by clicking little B-Button on the cover of Wall Plug.

    Any ideas?
