how to make dimmer controlling other device but it self

Question

Posted (edited)

Ok. I'm a bit frustrated (and my wife is very frustrated).

There are 2 sources of light in the bedroom.

1. main light on the ceiling

2. night light on the wall.

Where are 2 switches from fibaro. One under the button near the entrance to the room and the other near to the bed.

The "entrance one" is connected to the bright light on the top of the room, and the other one to the dim one on the wall.

The problem is:

after te 22:00 (10:00pm) i want to flash only the dim one while I'm entering to the room, and using the switch connected to the top light.

I don't want to switch on the top light even for a second.

I'm using HC2 so... i can write any scene, and the LUA is not a problem. (and I'm quite good in programming)

The second way of desribing the prolem:
I want to run the scene of single click on the fibaro switch while not running the standard "click" action that switches on the light.

How can I co this?

(programming is my job, but not the building automation, I'm quite new in LUA, but not lame :) i hope... )

@pogo  if they are both dimmers use the s2 switch contacts and control the lights via scene activation.

You can actually do this with some block scenes.

Create a scene switching a vairable for your ‘after 10’time slot and another switching that vairable back in the morning

Then create a scene switching on  one or both lights on  depending on your time vairable.

Set up scene activation in both dimmers on their remotes to trigger you new scene.

or just add a extra switch at the bed end switch plate on the s2 and associate that to your low level light and leave the rest as is
