Wiring question - feeling stupid...

Mies

Question

Hi,

I have failed to install my Fibaro dimmer 2 behind this switch. The lights (4 dimmable LEDs) have two switch locations to turn them on/off.

Please login or register to see this attachment.

I would assume that this is the right way, but cannot seem to make it work...

Any ideas?

  • As you see the switch has three wires, but  I see two only when the Fibaro 2 is wired in.

that is correct, normal 2 switches one light bulb requieres 3 wires on each switch

with fibaro relais you connect both switches to the fibaro relais

but, does the light lit when using the webinterface?

  • Hi,

I managed to get the Fibaro powered up earlier and successfully paired to my SmartThings hub. The issue was that something with the wiring was not done properly, as I could not operate the lights with the two switches and the dimmer independently. The best I managed is that the dimmer was powered up when I turned on a switch, but that caused a delay in a light lighting up... I will give an other try soon...
