Thinking about replacing HC2 with HomeKit

Multiple times a year, things that have been working for months in a row, suddenly stop working. This is usually after a software upgrade of either HC2 or its components/switches/sensors.

In all honesty, I am getting a bit tired of this.

So ... I was thinking of throwing my HC2 out the door and switching to HomeKit.

Any end users here that have done this or could give me some advise? The cost of replacing my sensors with HomeKit compatible ones aside, what are the other disadvantages and what would be the advantages?

Thanks!
