http api call on Iphone

Question

Posted

hi all,

I want to use a http api call from my iphone to my fibaro system using this:

http://[email protected]:[email protected]:80/api/callAction?deviceID=542&name=setValue&arg1=20

when using this my Iphone prompts me with name/password question, filling this in, the lightbulb (thats ID 542) gets on 20%.

How to skip this name password check? I already put it in the URL as [email protected] and pass admin (ofcourse other but for the example)

background of this; I am configuring a WITTI BEDDI2 smart alarm clock with 3 programmable buttons and you can send out http requests get post put and delete action.  I want to put on the light in my bedroom with it. This alarm clock uses the Iphone as a "bridge". It doesn't have a own computer in it doing this.

It works fine from my PC using Chrome, ot using Edge.

Hi there,

If you escape the @ it would work.

Just use %40 instead of @ in your username.

Any way this could work also from outside your home network...?

Hi there,

if you forward http requests from router to hc2 it would work from outside.
