FGS-223 intermitently not working

Guest Turmoil

Question

Guest Turmoil

I have an FGS-223 switch unit in the garden with a permanent power line and lines from two physical switches in the house. Sometimes the FGS-223 does not respond to HC2 commands (both channels). When this happens I can toggle either physical switch and the FGS-223 starts accepting commands from the HC2 again.

All parameters are on their default values.

I saw on fibaro.nl talk about some type of wake-up polling being needed but the author was not clear (to me) what he intended. Is this a known problem? Is it likely my problem or is there something else?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

  • @akatar thanks for the rapid response and good idea. I may have been concentrating too much on the fact that it recovered working after using the physical switch.

The HC2 is about 7 meters away and the house walls are quite thick. I shall try moving the HC2 so that it is at least less obstructed. I'll let it run a couple of days and get back to you.

    Thanks again.

  • That's 9 days and all is working well. Thanks for reminding me to check the basics (although I do still wonder why it worked after using the physical switch?)
