I logged in remotely with Fibaro ID, choose my HC2 and logged in again on mainpage.

Downloaded new app, logged in with same credentials but app says can't connect.

Any ideas ?

The new Fibaro Home Center app requires you to update the HC to version 4.530.

 

But I can tell you you don't want the new app at this moment. The app is more like a beta version, not a finished product(app). Not everything works in the new app.
