Sonos control with keyfob

kje

Question

Hi. I would like to Control my sonos amp and Connect through a keyfob. Only play/pause, toggle between favourite radio stations and volume Control. I've found a couple of VD's controlling sonos but either it don't work or the VD have a volume slider, two buttons for play and pause and one button for each favourite station… I'm not good With lua. Thanks in advance!

Goodmorning @kje and @vipernor. What VD -do you use to control your Sonos?

I have a VD scene combination (work in progress and very crude) that does just that.

But I use @AutoFrank's API solution.

Anyway I've attached the VD and scene so you can have an idea how I do this. The scene gets the key presses and presses a button on the VD.

Good evening @jimicr. Thank you for the heads up. I use @Krikroff sonos VD with the volume slider, but I havn’t solved the keyfob volume or  button press part yet. I have a rpi for Homebridge, MagicMirror and the Kodi/Plex fibaro plugin by @Shad and ADN182. I was kind of hoping to avoid more rpi’s, but I have an old rpi laying around that might do the trick.

Here is scene that can be used with Fibaro KeyFob to control @Krikroff sonos VD:

Please login or register to see this spoiler.

How keys are used:

  • Pressed ONCE
    • Key 1 - Stop playing
    • Key 2 - Start playing
    • Key 3 - Toggle mute
    • Key 4 - start playing favorite station No 4
    • Key 5 - volume down for 5%
    • Key 6 - volume up for 5%
  • Pressed TWICE
    • Key 1 - not used
    • Key 2 - not used
    • Key 3 - start playing favorite station No 1
    • Key 4 - start playing favorite station No 2
    • Key 5 - start playing favorite station No 3
    • Key 6 - start playing favorite station No 4

You can freely change scene to suit your needs!

Enjoy coding :-)
