I apologize all of you for this situation. This has been reported to InvisionPower and I am waiting for their action regarding these spam attacks (these not hack attacks to be precise ).

Tuesday and we still suffer...

I am doing what I can, but still the attackers manage to register. All spam-defence options are enabled on the Forum, we are using spam data-base to block registered users right on registration, but apparently, the IPS still has some holes.

The issue has been reported to IPS from other forums as well and I am monitoring their actions towards better anti-spam solutions.

Again, I want to apologize for this.

You don't need to apologize. You are doing best you can to get rid of those spammers. Some new settings influence also other users, like I can't replay to several posts rapidly since after first replay I get warning that next post I can do after some time.

 

I always wondered what drives those beings (spammers) to do what they do to make other people suffer. We humans are the only species on this planet and possibly whole universe that do harm to ourselves and our offsprings.

Yes, I had to enable Flood Control so that bots won't be able to post hundreds of posts within minutes.

You can post every two minutes and two concurrent posts of the same author submitted within five minutes are merged.
