LPD kind of scene on motion sensors

Question

Posted

For security reasons I don't want to connect my existing alarm system to the Fibaro HC2. However, if the alarm goes off it would be nice to manually start a scene.

It's pretty easy to create a predefined variable named "alarm" in the panel section and change the value from 0 to 1. Then in a scene I can do the following for my RGBW-controllers:

-- start the predefined LPD scene

if (alarm > 0) then

  fibaro:call(<ID>, "startProgram", 5)

end

It would be very nice to start this red/white/blue flashing (LPD) on all motion sensors as well. But they don't have a startProgram option as far as I know.

Does anyone know how to start flashing lights on a motion sensor using LUA-script? I would love to see red/white/blue like the LPD-scene on RGBW-controllers, but it's also ok if the devices just start flashing.

Thanks in advance for any reply,

Gijsbert
