Rechargeable CR123

Question

Posted

Hi there all..

Is/has anyone used rechargeable CR123 in these units ?  - I see the rechargeable CR123 in general have a much lower power rating (c. 700 mAh) - whereby the usual lithum etc are up at the 1200mAh..

Anybody using these ? - if so whats the experience ?

Many Thanks !!

I was considering it, but from economic perspective it doesn't fly. Regular battery last for 1,5 year and costs 2-3€. Rechargeable costs 9€ + price of  the charger. That means, that I would need 5+  years to have payback on it not counting the discomfort of more frequent battery change-charge. I thing in that time period, new technology will be available with much longer battery life ..
