Question

Posted

Hi,

I plan to buy an air conditioning device for the summer. I would like to control the air conditioning with Fibaro. Does anyone have experience with that? Any tips and tricks?

Hi,

I have a Toshiba air conditioning and I love it in the summer. I control my air conditioning with the Remotec ZXT120, I find this an ideal product. I have put this on the wardrobe so I can't see it and it is a the same height as the air conditioning. The is a code list and you have to try which code you need for your brand air conditioning, see attachment. The Remotec ZXT120 can be used with batteries if you have no wall outlet nearby, I use it with the usb cable and a iPhone 5W charger.

I also have a Wallmote Quad and has 4 buttons. I have all 4 buttons for the lights.

Long press upper left = turn on air conditioning with last settings (temperature and fan settings)

Long press lower left = turn off air conditioning

Long press upper right = open roller shutter

Long press upper right = close roller shutter.

Wow that's look great Kage. Can this VD be used with every AC?

I see you also mentioned statusPhone, what do you mean with that? Is that to determine if that phone/user is home? Do you use Android or iPhone with that?

aslong it got zx120 that is compatible with a AC

I use android as phone and yes if the state is that the temp is say 24 celcius and i have nightshift and stay at work the AC will not go on. But say i go home it wil come on directly when the phone is found in the network.

It also controled the fan in the AC like it ,must be 20 celcius it is 24 it goes on high. When temp is then 22 celcius it goes on medium and if lower than 20 celcius at low speed when 18 celcius it goes off!

Nice.

is it possible to share the VD?

Because you are using an Android phone you probaly use join and tasker to tell Fibaro you are home. Do you know an iPhone app that can tell the Fibaro I’m home the phone is connected to my wifi?

Checking the iPhone is in a local wifi network.
The muster create a scene that will count down the time and run the virtual device to check the iPhone.
On the virtual device, enter xxx.xxx.x.xxx ip of your iPhone and your name. Create another variable with your name.

It's not clean (working on that) but works great. Still learning!

You have to modified it to your needs ( for me it is too me and my wife and three kids)

AC schema Master is with agenda

AC schema Alyassa is without agenda

Can you add the AC by using the IP and does it work(is it supported)? If no, yes you need the Remotec to get it working with the HC

600 is just newer version of 120. In terms of functionality they are basically the same.

Came onto this thread cause I also needed recs and I'm pleased with the recommendations. I'm interested in the ZXT600 but I'll ask for my partner's opinion on it before we get it installed by the people from here:
