Crashing every few days

Question

Posted

My HC2 appears to be crashing every few days.  I see a post for HCL saying something similar.  Is there any way to access the logs to find out what's causing this issue? No point having an automated home that crashes all the time!  Most annoyingly my HC2 is in the attic so that it's got the best central location which means it's a pain to go and reboot it!

By the way, the device is still connected dot the network and I can access the docs and also see the services which all say they are running, the device doesn't respond to the web guy for the main system and nothing in the house is working.

When I call the php values I get the folliwing

I have the same issue. After I think the last 3 updates (round about 2 month) my hc2 crashes every few days. Sometimes the restating services botton on thr gui works and sometimes I have to plug out. I will try the next time to get the logs.

This problem seems related to a bug in the Home Center network stack. If you do frequent calls to remote locations (using HTTP Request LUA code), at last, it will kill the network. The HC2 will keep running but does not communicate with the web anymore.

I have a solution for you guys. But it is still a workaround. (I did it my self and works perfectly).

I created a scene that reboots my Home Center 2 every night at 3:05. Add a scene with the following LUA Code:

Hopes this helps you guys out.

It seems your scenes make HCserver to die

I would start from scenes debug
