Nice gate controller + Fibaro relay 222

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello.

I'm strugling as to how to wire the Nice RB600 gate controller to Fibaro relay switch 222. I'm familiar with the idea as to how it should work, but I don't know what to "send" to open / close input on gate controller. This should be the pic of the controller itself:

What bothers me a bit as well is that when I measure current on "OPEN" and "CLOSE" pins with multimeter, it shows around 35V.

I'm not even sure should I run the Switch itself on 220V and use the 24V with "in" and "q" only OR use 24V for everything. I hope I'm understood what I mean by it.

Thanks everyone in advance.

V.

I figured it out, so if anyone stumbles upon this forum topic, maybe this will help.

Basically I had to close the OPEN or CLOSE circuit. Left input on both is (-) and right one is (+). From one of those inputs take negative (-) and connect it to IN on FBS, then continue from Q1 to right (+) input on OPEN and Q2 to right (+) input on CLOSE. With this, first switch is to open gate and second one is to close it. Don't forget to set switch to momentary in options in HCL.

I used 220V to power FBS itself.

Hi Vorhees, I am trying to install Fibaro with Nice gates as per your suggestion but am struggling.

All is fine with you indications and gates Open but when I try to Close, it doesn’t work. I guess the Close circuit does not work as the IN cable comes from the (-) in the Open circuit.

Tried to loop both (-) from Open and Close circuits and seems to work but guess it won’t be stable as apparently am activating both options Open and Close.

My only idea would be that I need two single relays for each Open and Close? Or can I take 24v from other part of the board to close the circuit (haven’t tried yet and could fail)

@MVK have a look at the implant, as far as i can see, it does all what you want.

    Hi.

Works ok for me now since I posted. Might be you have some other type of Nice gates. Like @akatar wrote, you will achieve what you want easily with Implant. When I was doing my project, there was no implant yet. Implant has 2 dry relay switches on, so you wont need two different devices.

As for your suggestion, I was unable to find 24V on my Nice gate. I tried all combinations from all pins, but all I was able to find was some unstable 36V. Guess you could try and see, I must admit I only found a solution to my problem when I did some trial and error.

Hi akatar and Vorhees, many thanks for your help!! I was able to work it fine now, just had to invert the cables (had the + and - backwards at first). It was a slightly different model of gate and pins were vertical instead of horizontal.

    Thanks again!
