Breaching alarm via code

Question

Posted

Hi guys!

Is there a way to breach alarm via code or API? Say the alarm system is armed and computer vision attached to the surveillance sees a person. Is there a way to trigger the alarm via code?

Thanks!
Ros

Is not clear for me

if the door is armed you can’t send command to opening the door If the door doesn’t have additioanl relay and motors for opening

also if you arm motion sensor you can’t send mothion command to sensor ;)

but you can call a cat for example ;)  It it’s not via API

So I would have to arm a binary sensor and then breach it with say... a switch tied to it.... would that work?

Were you able to breach via code or via an attached switch?
